Raising Hope with FirstSteps for Kids

FirstSteps for Kids, Inc <http://www.firststepsforkids.com/> specializes in improving the lives of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders by using empirically validated ABA treatment. For 9 years Team FirstSteps has fundraised for Autism Speaks, raising over $130,000 for the non-profit organization. Last year, in an effort to raise awareness as well as funds, FirstSteps hosted the inaugural and overwhelming successful, sold-out Light Metlox Blue Benefit. We are proud to support FirstSteps and Autism Speaks for their 2nd Annual Light Metlox Blue Benefit!

Autism is a neurological disorder affecting 1in 88 children born today. Every 11 minutes another child is diagnosed with autism. It occurs across all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls. At this time, there is no simple cure. Autism Speaks is a tremendous organization that has a proven track record for using their funding for not only medical and genetic research, but also for helping families today with wonderful resources, consultation, and public policy efforts to ensure all families have immediate access to quality treatment services.
