National Nanny Recognition Week

Happy National Nanny Recognition Week!

(9/20- 9/26, 2015)

“Gratitude can transform common days into Thanksgiving, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” – William Arthur Ward

We at The Nanny League are so thankful for all of the nannies we work with on a daily basis. These hard working, passionate, dedicated, educated nannies give it their all for the families they work with, making it easier for households everywhere to run smoothly!

How will you thank your nanny this week? Will it be with a paid day off? Maybe a nice card made by the kids with a spa gift certificate inside. Maybe you reserve this time of year for an annual bonus to show your appreciate for all of her hard work and care she provides.

Whatever we do to thank the nannies and mannies who care for our families, one of the greatest gifts is a continuous spirit of gratitude. Small acts of gratitude go a long way such as a ‘thank you’ at the end of the work day. It’s remembering your nanny’s birthday with a card or small gift. Working in small acts of gratitude throughout the year shows that you honor and respect the care and hard work she puts in each day. These mutual signs of respect and appreciation build long term working relationships that benefit all involved. So, start today! Send a text, write and email, leave a post-it note with a few kind words. Better yet, grab the kiddos at the end of the day, and join them as they stand in the doorway, waving goodbye, shouting sweet thank-you’s as their nanny ends another day.
